My name is Andrea Rubenstein. I am a Licensed Psychologist. I am honored to support people in improving their well-being. I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and a large range of symptomatology.
I have a deep commitment to seeing people flourish in relationship to themselves, and to others. For many of us, we have some sense of what makes relationships great and what makes them terrible. Knowing and experiencing what makes great relationships stronger, and what turns terrible relationships around, is where I can work alongside you. As someone who has been stepped in Attachment science, I love allowing for people to make more coherent sense of their internal world, to build or restore bonds with others.
I aim to support you in balancing your life, making decisions that prioritize your wellness, and with what matters to you most. Making the choice to commit to therapy can be anxiety provoking and scary. I welcome those curiosities and concerns in establishing our therapeutic relationship as it is foundational to develop trust, comfort and safety as we work together.
I earned my Master of Social Work at UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare in 2022. Prior to joining Ivy Creek Therapy, I provided therapy for teens and adults in a primary care setting.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, and I currently offer therapy services in Northern California.
My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for your unique journey. I draw from evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused strategies, always with the intention of helping you tap into your own strengths and inner resilience.
In our work together, I often integrate mindfulness practices and positive psychology techniques to support your overall well-being—emotionally, mentally, and even physically.
Whether you're navigating a life transition, working through challenges, or simply seeking a space to grow, I’m here to support you with empathy, practical tools, and a deep belief in your capacity to thrive.
I enjoy bringing humor and kindness to my sessions I want to know what you need and will do my best with helping you get there
I'm Deidre, and for over two decades I've helped people move through some of life's most painful and disorienting transitions — loss, illness, divorce, relationship struggles, aging, and the quiet fears that come with facing mortality. My clients often tell me that what they needed most wasn't advice — it was someone who truly listened, who could help them make sense of what they were feeling and find a path forward. That's what I'm here to do!
Welcome—glad you made it here!
I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in crisis mental health and private practice. I help adults and adolescents work through anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship challenges. I understand the impact of high-stress roles where you’re expected to stay in control, even when things build up over time. My style is direct, grounded, and focused on what actually works in real life. I provide a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and be challenged in a way that leads to real change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m Maria Zavala, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California, and I offer a warm, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are. I work with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, identity exploration, and emotional challenges, with a strong focus on culturally responsive care. I am also multi-lingual! My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and grounded while we gently explore what’s been weighing on you and begin creating a path forward that feels authentic, steady, and truly yours.
